Main objective:​

​Improve capacities of authority's local, civil servants, and community representatives in gender equality and integration of the LGTBI+ population in local disaster risk management actions from an intersectional perspective to promote their addition to public policy instruments of municipalities in the province of Chacabuco.

Main results:

  • Municipal officials trained in local disaster risk management, gender equality, and LGBTIQ+ inclusion.

  • Methodology for disaster risk analysis differentiated by gender identity and other variables of the intersectional perspective designed for use by municipalities and communities. 

  • Materials produced for the local authorities, officials, and community leaders training and education on gender equality and integration of the LGBTIQ+ community in disaster risk reduction from an intersectional perspective.
