This publication aims to recount the history of the Quilombo do Catucá Cultural Center in Camaragibe, Recife, and primarily to address the organization of its two main festivities: the children's party and the cultural festival of art and culture. Through a recount of the influences of Mae Flávia and the particularity of Candomblé, this notebook addresses gender and ancestry practices in peripheral territories.
